Blade is a film, I find, important because it represents freedom in adaptation. The film makes no concessions on the violence of the confrontations, the digital effects are used to kill the vampires. Wesley Snipes' performance is impressively charismatic. Certainly, it is not a cerebral film nor a film steeped in science fiction standards. Anyway, Blade is beautiful, it’s cool, it’s entertaining and as they say in French « ça envoie du sax »
