Awyr - Brand Design Concept

Brand design exploration, using an icon concept from a past project.

The icon is based on a very abstracted lower case 'a' and has an almost bird-like quality. This led me to the name Awyr, the Welsh word for sky (pronounced a bit like ah-wir). Then the bird idea led to travel, so I imagined a brand of tough, waterproof protective shells for devices, intended to withstand travelling and harsh conditions, without looking like chonky mil-spec stuff.
