01. Introduction

Project description
Name: "FreeWork"

Implementation date: March 2024

Role: Chief designer

Project goal: To create an intuitive and audience-tolerant freelance website aimed at helping students with their studies and reducing commissions for student freelancers.

Problematic area

Analyzing the freelance platform market, it was found that existing sites such as Fiverr and Upwork did not separate information for freelancers and clients, which led to the mixing of irrelevant information. In addition, student freelancers faced high fees and fierce competition, which hindered their development and earnings.

02. Process

Research

An analysis of the Fiverr and Upwork platforms revealed key shortcomings that could be addressed when creating FreeWork. Focusing on the needs of users, especially students, a strategy was developed that emphasizes simplified navigation and optimized commissions.

Strategy

The challenge was to create a design that reflects the ease and accessibility of using the platform. The main strategy was to ensure clear separation of information for clients and freelancers, as well as to create incentives for the student audience in the form of reduced commissions.

03. The result

Design

“FreeWork” is characterized by a clean, modern interface with easy access to the main functions. The site includes intuitive categories, a convenient search engine, and easy access to freelancers' profiles. It also emphasizes successful cases of student engagement through visualized success stories, which adds personalization and inspires trust among users.

Impact

According to the co-author of the project, the new design has significantly improved the user experience, in particular in terms of simplifying the process of finding the right services.
It was also noted that the site's navigation has become intuitive, with a clear distinction
between different user roles.
