Album Cover Art: Heat Writer II

When I was approached by Jamla Records recording artist HaLo to design a mixtape cover for a project in which he was inspired by the classic video game Street Fighter II, I decided that I would pay homage to it by recreating the intro of the game in the form of hand-made paper cutouts in order to achieve a unique look with an added dimension. With the name of the project being titled "Heat Writer", and the influence that comic books have had on hip hop culture in general, I added elements in the final details reminiscent of a pulp comic cover to complete the look of a story inviting you to turn its pages and explore the imaginative world woven within HaLo's lyrics.
