Leap Maker stands out for basing its methodology on the Maker culture, with its emphasis on creativity, experimentation, and practical learning. It has distinguished itself in the educational landscape by promoting a more participatory and student-centered teaching approach. As a new company in the market, it recognizes the growing appreciation of skills such as creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. The challenge is to integrate these principles into the visual identity of the Leap Maker brand, an initiative that seeks to revolutionize the traditional education model. Unlike other companies in the field, Leap Maker is distinguished by a methodology that grants student independence in the learning process, yet does not neglect the process that, with proper guidance, can develop the individual during classes.

Solution

The central challenge was to develop a visual identity that reflected both the method and the creativity inherent in the Maker culture. To meet this challenge and align with the objectives of Leap Maker, we crafted a visual identity that captures the essence of this culture—marked by innovation, creativity, and the value of practical learning. The adopted strategy focused on creating an identity that, in addition to resonating with the fundamental values of the Maker culture, also effectively conveyed Leap Maker's mission to revolutionize education. To symbolize this fusion of method and creativity, the logo design was based on an isometric grid inspired by the hexagon—a shape that represents balance, method, and innovation, while also evoking the idea of collaboration and collective creation. This use of the hexagon not only incorporates the methodical approach necessary in the creation process but also reflects the creative and collaborative dynamics essential to the Maker culture, establishing a visual bridge between the brand identity and its educational philosophy.
