Bakery Website | Birthday cakes page UI
This is from the bakery website project I worked on. This page is specific for users to browse through birthday cakes as celebrations like birthdays are top reasons people buy cakes.
Two things I considered when designing this page are;
Show - Tell ratio: In a website like this users need to see more images than texts because they want to have a clear picture of what the item will look like when they buy it and have it delivered at their door steps. Thus, the use of clear images were important
Social proof: You will see throughout this project that I used every opportunity I had to add social proof, this is because hearing pleasant stories about a brand helps people decide if to patronize them or not. To do so I also included images of customers that have bought cakes from the bakery, and attached short stories of how these cakes added color to their birthday celebrations.
