Homeless Help App

Collaborating closely with a local homeless charity, I embarked on crafting an innovative UI concept aimed at addressing the critical needs of homeless and vulnerable individuals. The project sought to develop an interactive app prototype tailored to offer seamless assistance in locating nearby support facilities.

Contrary to common assumptions, our research revealed that a significant portion of the homeless population possess smartphones, making the digital solution a viable avenue for reaching those in need.

Through intuitive GPS tracking functionalities, the app empowers users to swiftly pinpoint essential resources such as food banks, clothing facilities, shelters, and drop-in clinics within their vicinity. This user-friendly interface not only streamlines access to vital support services but also fosters a sense of agency and empowerment among its users, ultimately contributing to the broader mission of aiding those experiencing homelessness.
