Street food of India: Panipuri

Part of a series I did on the street food of India, this drawing features one of the most popular snacks in India: Panipri. Called "water balls" by the English, these little morsels are made from filling up crispy, hollow balls with a spicy, soupy broth. The only way to eat them is to pop the entire ball into your mouth, and typically you eat anywhere from two to ten in one go, depending on how hungry you (or your friends) are. This drawing is based on the panipuri I had in the Chaat Alley in Agra.

Drawing created with pen and colored pencil.
