Movie Poster Design l Martial Art Ip Man
This poster is the second in a series of three on martial arts movies, Ip Man, Wilson Yip (2008)
Asian martial arts cinema is an important part of my tastes and influences in terms of art. It summarizes and illustrates the complexity of simplifying artistic processes; the vision of a sequence shot orchestrated by choreography becomes a seemingly simple feat to achieve. It’s a bit like the heart of the graphic designer’s profession, simplifying a message while propagating it via technicality. The overall aesthetic of these films is unique and timeless. Long live the fight at the cinema
