Veteran's Day Publication

The Journal Review in Crawfordsville isn't just a daily paper; it pairs promotional campaigns with the normal, consistent content to create a more well-rounded publication that brings the community together, small businesses and consumers alike.

Every November, Journal Review creates a Veteran's Day publication; in 2023, they created a mini mag that would slip inside every paper for November 11th. It was the largest promo for November, and it was my responsibility to work with the sales team and create the ad for every single business that bought a spot.

Veteran's Day is an important day to recognize in the Crawfordsville community; many are veterans themselves, and the locals respect their law enforcement and those who served their country. Therefore, it was ideal to keep my audience in mind when designing for these businesses; not only did I have to follow the brand identity for each business, but I had to design for the readers as well. It was important that I took the design in a more serious, respectful approach.
