8fit Pro Feature + Articles

I partnered with 8fit to help them redesign their website & mobile app and increase the number of users who upgrade to the Pro paid plan.

Problem statement

A lot of our users were settling for the free plan instead of upgrading to the Pro paid plan.

One of the reasons for this was they had too much access inside the app. With the free plan they were getting general workouts & meal plans and the Pro plan was giving them access to the sleep & meditation part of the product.

Solution

The solution involved locking more of the features but showing them to the user as available for Pro plan. In this way the user could still be on a free plan and experience our product but seeing also what he/she is missing out.

Every time a user clicked on a locked workout/meal we opened a pop-up letting the user know he can upgrade to Pro plan for more access.
