The Colonial Theater

Originally built as a vaudeville house, The Colonial Theater was the first venue in Phoenixville to bring live entertainment and professional theater to town. In its lifetime, the theater has seen plays, silent films (complete with Kimball pipe organ), and the move into "talkies."The Colonial was featured in the classic film The Blob in 1958, which was filmed in and around the area of Phoenixville.
