Gulf Bean Logo

Summary

The client was opening a new coffee shop in Saudi Arabia and looking to eventually open additional shops. The request was a logo with a fun, beach vibe that had variants that showed roasted and green coffee beans.

The first design was a heavy nod to Starbucks, which I was pretty sure the client would reject. The other used a fun font and a bean that I wanted to also give the feeling of a surfboard for the “beach vibe”. The client, as suspected, passed on the Starbucks inspired logo and went with the other. They decided they wanted to use both the roasted and green variants but the roasted version would be the primary logo.
