Coinly — Banking app for Children. Illustrations & Animation.
About the Project:
This project was commissioned for Coinly, a children's banking application designed to make financial literacy fun and accessible. Our aim was to create a series of animated illustrations that capture the essence of learning and engagement in financial habits. These illustrations are integrated within the app's onboarding process and various in-app features to guide young users through the functionalities of Coinly. We utilized a playful and vibrant approach to connect with the youthful audience, employing a mixture of Adobe Illustrator for the artwork and After Effects for the animations to bring these concepts to life.
About the Shot:
The attached images are two-fold: one showcases a user-friendly interaction with the app, represented by a child holding a smartphone with coins and a star icon, symbolizing rewards or achievements. The color scheme is a bright and welcoming combination of orange, blue, and yellow, which is attention-grabbing and energetic. The second image depicts daily activities related to savings and financial planning, featuring characters reading a receipt and fishing for savings, rendered in a similar color palette to maintain consistency across the app. The illustrations use a simplified, geometric style with textured shading, adding depth and a tactile feel. Typography is not present, ensuring the focus remains on the visual storytelling suitable for a young audience.
