During my times at a design agency, we received a request to revamp the UX/UI of a web platform for writers. The existing gamified system posed critical usability issues, including complex navigation and confusing interface elements, which hindered user retention.In 6 months we have completed the product redesign. The outcome deviated significantly from our envisioned product. The reason potentially attributed to our inability to align our vision with the agreed budget and time frame. After two years of revisiting my design regrets, I resolved to create a concept of the interface that truly delivers gamified writing experience.
