A primary logotype lockup for Common Ground.

Common Ground is a non-traditional faith community in Bend, Oregon that focuses on exploring faith & the outdoors.

Once the brand internals were set in stone and considering the physical context of Bend, there was a clear route to take when it came to the visual identity. The system needed to be inviting to the outdoor community, while also appealing to the post religious crowd of Central Oregon. It was immensely important not to use any traditional religious symbolism. The main lockup is made up of a logotype that is adventurous, welcoming, and understandable.

The logotype is a combo of a heavily customized version of the Luminaire Script font and James Coffman's OAXACA font—one of my favorites. Both were perfect for this project.
