Discoveries Magazine Cover 2024

I'm proud to share a preview of one of my cover designs for UC San Diego Health Sciences' upcoming Discoveries Magazine issue. This design showcases an illustration of Jacobs Medical Center with a mezzotint effect that adds visual interest and rich texture. Drawing inspiration from Tyler Hobbs' flow fields artwork, I designed a custom sky pattern to evoke a sense of movement and progression. The yellow pattern is treated with a vibrant PMS color which creates dynamic streaks of color running from the front cover, flowing seamlessly onto the back.
