ADLER - W. Gropius's Standard 8

I was reading an Art Deco book and noticed that Walter Gropius - a father of Bauhaus - designed this beautiful Art Deco vibe luxury car back in the 1930s. Other architects and designers collaborated with W. Gropius. Adler means "Eagle" in German and they were an aircraft manufacturer based in Frankfurt am Main.

Putting aside the company's background, I was fascinated by the car itself and the logo which is a typical Art Deco style. In addition, the designer of this car drew more attention to me because he founded Bauhaus, a foundation of modern art.

This weekend is Art Deco weekend in Miami. I wish to visit there someday but celebrating Art Deco in snowy Chicago with illustrations right now.

Thank you for seeing it and feel free to let me know if you need something like this :)
