Victor's Barbershop

Victor’s Barbershop came out of my need to explore letterform and continue to stretch my design muscles with branding design.

Victor was my father, and growing up he had a barbershop shop I spent time in my whole life. I knew what they talked about, how they thought, and what they ate. It was a place of community and a place where patrons would rely on a good haircut and a fun conversation. When people say they were “shooting the shit,” that is literally what happened here day in and day out.

My dad loved cutting hair, and this branding is meant to emanate the love he had for being a barber and the tradition he brought to it all the way from Havana, Cuba.
