App icon - Daily UI - 005 / 100

Hey Dribbble,

I am falling a little behind on my Daily UI pieces, but thankfully weekend is almost here so I will have a chance to catch back up. For now, here is my latest shot. I needed to make an app icon, and I have always loved the old-school clock radios with the vintage flap numbers.

I decided to try a concept icon for a simple app to build the hype and anticipation of some personal event, like a birthday, summer break, count down till Christmas, due date, etc. I don't know if the app would sell at all but I had a great time making this icon.

Started in illustrator to get the basic shapes worked out, and then took it into photo shop for the color treatments and adding depth and shading. Please let me know what you think! All feedback is welcome, both good and bad. Thanks.
