Balanchine Book Design

A redesign of an existing historical book on the ballet master George Balanchine, using all original content but updating to be aligned with contemporary book design aesthetics. The book’s binding, custom made, is accordion folded, with wooden covers and pale pink ribbon holding the book together. These material aspects also reference elements of ballet, literally tying the book together. All design, printing, binding, assembling was completed by Isabelle.
