Case Study: e-Svitlo Mobile App Design
Overview
e-Svitlo, a revolutionary mobile application, was conceived to address the challenges faced by residents in Chernivtsi (Ukraine) and the surrounding region regarding power outages. This application not only provides users with real-time schedules of stabilization, planned, and emergency power outages but also introduces an innovative feature allowing users to submit their electricity meter readings. This project emerged as a response to the aggressive war of russia against Ukraine. The need to inform citizens about power outages due to russia's constant shelling of Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
Real-time Outage Information:
Collaborated with local utility providers to establish a reliable data feed for real-time outage information.
Designed an intuitive and user-friendly interface displaying current and upcoming power outage schedules.
Implemented push notifications to alert users about impending outages, ensuring timely and informed actions.
User Engagement:
Developed a secure and user-friendly portal within the app for users to submit their electricity meter readings.
Integrated features such as reminders and incentives to encourage users to regularly update their meter readings.
Established a two-way communication channel, allowing users to receive acknowledgment and status updates on their submissions.

Provided detailed outage information, including the cause, estimated duration, and any related updates.
