Crypto Wallet App Design

Problem Statement

Many crypto wallet apps prioritize features over usability. Through usability audits and user interviews, we found:

  • • 60% of users felt overwhelmed by the interface.

  • • 45% missed key transaction confirmations.

  • • Beginners struggled with onboarding, while pros wanted faster execution paths.

  • Target Audience & Impact

We targeted two main groups:

  • • New Investors (25–35): Crypto-curious, want safety and guidance.

  • • Active Traders (30–45): Experienced, want speed and control.

By improving usability, we aimed to reduce friction, prevent transaction errors, and increase app retention.

Task :

Our goal was to identify user pain points during key workflows: onboarding, checking portfolio, and executing trades.

Action :

  • • Conducted 1-on-1 interviews with 12 users (6 beginners, 6 advanced)

  • • Analyzed app reviews and conducted usability tests

Result :

  • • 80% of users described the interface as “intimidating”

  • • Users wanted clearer transaction flows and easier access to key actions

  • • Advanced users requested customizable dashboards and shortcut paths

Lean UX Canvas – Ideation Highlights

  • Problem: Overwhelming UI and slow access to key actions.

  • Solution Hypothesis: Simplify navigation, offer smart defaults, and streamline transactions.

  • Key Outcomes:

    • • Reduce time-to-trade by 30%
