Optimizing Account Creation Process for Biyo POS

Problem: In the previous version of the platform, users were required to complete six different fields during the account creation process. The most time-consuming field was the "Business Name" field, which triggered a backend process taking up to 30 seconds to complete.

Consequently, when users filled out all the required information and clicked the "Create Account" button, they had to wait for approximately 30 seconds, leading to a significant number of users abandoning the process due to impatience and frustration.

Solution: To address this issue I created a 3-step form and the "Business Name" field was strategically moved to the beginning of the account creation process. This decision was made for the following reasons:

a. Enhanced User Experience: Placing the "Business Name" field at the start ensures that the user can initiate the account creation process quickly without experiencing any delays. This enhances the overall user experience and reduces frustration.

b. Background Processing: By initiating the lengthy "Business Name" field processing in the background right at the beginning, users can move on to the other fields while this time-consuming task is already underway. This allows users to feel that they are making progress in the account creation process.

c. Simplified Completion: Once the user has filled in all the required fields, they can proceed to the next steps without any waiting. This streamlined approach significantly improves the efficiency of the account creation process and encourages users to complete it.
