Portfolio Site v1
Throwback to my first website
One of my first web projects, that a lot of effort went into as it was a major learning experience. It is my old portfolio website, which had a simple black-and-white theme but many enjoyable interactive moments. It consisted of a home page, a page for my work and a page about me.
This was the homepage, which had the greatest interactive feature, which was a fade effect on my name that occurs when the cursor hovers over it. My website was full of static 3D art to showcase my skills, and the homepage manifested by signature 3D peace sign, which is in my portfolio to date.
Keeping in tune with the 3D art and the hover effects, similar interactions were done for the 'work' and 'about' pages.
As it was an old portfolio, it had very few projects to showcase. But even they were given some life in the 'works' page with the interactivity around them.
This was a personal favourite of the portfolio website, a nice blend of 3D art and interactivity where hovering the cursor reveals my skill level in each of those fields.
This was also a first attempt in drafting mobile responsiveness, which was done through a simple and comprehensible standard. Incredibly to the point.
Last but not least, as it was a portfolio website, a logo was developed to refine my brand identity. It is a combination of the letters A and Y, my initials.
Designer's Notes
This was one of my first web projects, so it was an incredible learning experience when using HTML & CSS. The entire website was made functional using Javascript. All the supporting 3D models were made using Blender3D, but the most notable 3D model is the one of me, as shown below, which was a photogrammetric scan done with my phone and imported into Blender.
