Streamlining the Business Process

The client, NeedlePro Australia, frequently hosts conferences and events in which flyers are required. Every flyer is the same in format, content and imagery, with the difference of the event's name and associated coupon code.

Rather than needing to contact their digital designer to update the raw project file with a new heading and coupon code before every event, an online flyer generator was programmed in which the staff can put in the details themselves, and it will be embedded into the final pdf, ready for printing.

As seen in the video above, the heading and coupon code of the template flyer are filled in, and the .pdf file is automatically saved in the user's downloads. This has streamlined the flyer-generating process for the business, resulting in less waste of business resources and more control of their marketing.

Designer's Notes

The business tool was written using HTML & CSS, made functional with Javascript. A JS plugin was used that allowed the tool to export .pdf files. The template was developed in Adobe Illustrator, which can be viewed here.
