The Journey

At first, I and Amir agreed on the concept of the poster to depict a scene from the movie in which Adel is standing above Azadi Tower.

Here comes Asa with a dramatic oil painting from that scene.

I tested different layouts to find my desired one. Here is one of the primary tests:

As time passes, more details are added to the work. One of them was the logotype which resembles the shape of a unicorn in Persian alphabet, as well as representing the inner problems of Adel, the main character of the movie.

Amir (the director) thought the tower is too big and scary. And also I thought we'd better have more sky in the picture. So we agreed on the final layout of the work.

Then I thought that the sky is too saturated. In fact, sky of Tehran is usually grey and this kind of greyness cam make the work depressed in its own way. So the final result has little changes in color and contrast.
