3D Glacius Modelling
I proudly present my first foray into character modeling, the GLACIUS project. I embarked on this challenge with enthusiasm, redesigning Glacius, one of my favorite fighters from Killer Instinct. Though the process was arduous and fraught with challenges, the final result, despite its potential imperfections, represents an achievement that I am extremely satisfied with in my first attempt.
The project encompassed various stages, beginning with meticulous character modeling, including all anatomical aspects to breathe life into this reinterpretation. Then, the task of texturing the character was tackled, creating detailed 4K textures using Substance Painter. Simultaneously, character rigging was carried out to enable future traditional animations. Upon completing these two phases, we proceeded to apply motion-captured animation. Subsequently, painstaking adjustments were made to each joint, bone, and limb, frame by frame, as the character, being twice as tall and long as an average human, required special attention to make the movements appear natural. Finally, environments were created for presentation, and we moved on to the rendering phase, using the powerful tools of Arnold and V-Ray to achieve stunning visual results.
