What If Series - Ride Booking App
This shot is a part of my new "WHAT IF?" series of UI design concepts, where I explore innovative ideas for enhancing the user experience of my most frequently used apps explaining what if the app is like this. In this installment, I've drawn inspiration from "Namma Yatri" and reimagined the entire app, incorporating several exciting features and giving it a fresh, modern look.
One of the key elements of this redesign is the enhanced user interface for navigating different types of rides. Users can now easily view options for rides, complete with pricing information and estimated arrival times. This provides a more comprehensive and user-friendly experience for those planning their journeys.
From a business perspective, I've introduced a feature that offers personalized travel suggestions. Users can discover new destinations based on their travel history and preferences.
Furthermore, for users who are eager to explore the city, this app will offers an enhanced feature that allows them to create and customize their own itineraries. Users can add various points of interest and destinations to their itinerary, and the app will efficiently plan a route that covers all the places on their list.
To make the experience even more convenient, there will be a fixed prices for each leg of their journey, and the app will calculate the overall cost based on the selected destinations. Additionally, to ensure efficient service and fairness to our drivers, a waiting time limit will be established for each destination. If a user exceeds this time limit, there will be additional charges incurred.
This feature empowers travelers to make the most of their time in the city, ensuring they visit all the places they desire without the hassle of managing multiple ride requests. It also encourages users to stick to their schedules, promoting efficiency and fairness for both passengers and drivers.
Additionally, other businesses can take advantage of this platform to promote their establishments such as cafes, restaurants, and bars. This not only benefits businesses by increasing their visibility but also helps users discover exciting new places to explore.
As for location tracking, I've made improvements to address common issues. Instead of the traditional blue dot, I've replaced it with a human figure icon and a more detailed direction pointer. This design change not only adds a visually appealing touch but also makes it easier for users to identify their precise location and navigate their way effectively.
Overall, this redesign aims to provide a more comprehensive and user-centric experience, making "Namma Yatri" a go-to app for seamless travel planning, personalized recommendations, and improved location tracking.
