Moondaze

One of my favourite forms of design is those beautiful and creative indie beer cans. They're always very creative, and despite my not liking beer, the temptation to buy one simply for its design is always present. I wanted to create an equally appealing, non-alcoholic product design. Packaging is a key component to building a good consumer-company relationship and I want to design compelling packaging that fosters that relationship.

I created 'Moondaze' as a beverage company, one that would appeal to 25 - 40-year-olds as an alternative drink to soft drinks such as Coca-Cola and alcoholic drinks like beer and cider. I wanted this to be a mature option with more developed flavours that would attract an older demographic. I not only designed the branding but also the packaging and social media for the faux company 'Moondaze'.

I wanted the flavours and packaging design to correspond with certain events and parties. 'Blue Moon Spritz' was based off of summer beach parties and bonfire nights and that's not only reflected in the illustrations on the packaging but also the flavours of the drink.
