2/3 of a gif series dedicated to Japanese amulets. Daruma dolls are wooden figurines resembling the Bodhidharma, the founder of Zen buddhism. If you want a wish to come true, an eye is painted. Then, if the wish does come true, the other eye is painted as a sign of gratitude.
