Alice Charity: Fundraising Events
2012-2019
Ensuring Regular Revenue
Fundraising is a cornerstone of any aid organisation's revenue. At Alice Charity, steady income initiatives ranged from corporate social responsibility schemes, regular direct debit donations, sponsored projects and campaigns, community lotteries, and institutional grants and funds.
Regular and seasonal events were crucial for community and corporate alike, holding charity balls, business afternoon teas, music gigs, festivals, and team sports events such as It’s a Knockout. It was vital that the charity reached out in all areas of the local neighbouring areas, for donations, ongoing support, and awareness.
Building the charity’s profile included strong support for its fundamental revenue streams, which required strategic marketing plans and the delivery of a range of media including web, blog, social and PR copy, digital and print design services, prop and venue sourcing, photography, and inclusive event organisation and design.
Festive Giving
Kindness at Christmas
Statistically, Christmas is the most charitable time of the year, and therefore the busiest too.
To make the most out of this giving period, it was crucial to provide a range of fundraising events, activities and campaigns that were suitable for businesses, schools, families, community groups and even celebrities to get involved in. The charity received much-valued support from Paralympian Ian Marsden, BBC Radio presenter Louise Stones, Radio and TV presenter Jonty Sargeant and Footballer Marc Muniesa during the festive periods.
From food and toy appeals to gift-wrapping services, jumper days and the annual Santa Dash run, there was something for everyone. From print and digital design to social, blog, web and video content creation, to event planning and PR, this period required vast support from the Marketing and Fundraising teams.
