Edufurther - Web App
Introduction
EduFurther emerged from a passion project. Four friends, aspiring to transition into UI/UX design, sought a real-world learning experience by addressing a common global challenge: helping international students secure scholarships for studying abroad.
User-Centric Approach
To begin, we focused on understanding the challenges faced by aspiring international students, including accessing accurate information, overcoming financial constraints, and navigating complex logistical processes. We validated these challenges through surveys and interviews.
Design and Prototype
With insights in hand, we created low-fidelity wireframes and tested them with users, refining our solution based on feedback. Collaborating with designers, we developed a brand identity for EduFurther.
High-Fidelity Prototype
In just six weeks, we designed a high-fidelity prototype, leveraging usability testing through MAZE technology. User feedback led to improvements and validation.
Development and MVP
With limited resources, we chose the Bubble platform for MVP development. EduFurther is now live, serving aspiring international students with a simple, accessible solution.
Impact and Lessons
This journey taught us the power of user-centricity and the importance of putting users first. We realized that helping others discover their path can also be a journey of self-discovery.
Conclusion
Empowering EduFurther was a fulfilling experience. We learned that data fuels progress, and we continue to monitor and improve the solution. As a mentor and UI/UX lead, I witnessed the transformative power of design.
