Once Upon A Time ✨

I draw the inspiration for the illustrations from my everyday life, the situations I find myself in and the thoughts they provoke.

This particular event was mirroring the belief of wealthy people behaving posh and demanding perfection in every aspect. The lady in the story was a wife of a man who is a very close friend to the owner of the building. The whole building is new, the plaster piece literally came out of nowhere, there was no sign of cracks on the wall and no one could figure out how this could happen. It was just bizarre and her reaction made me very annoyed. The entitled behaviour made me fell disgust and my uncontrollable eye roll kicked in.

Then I went home and on my way I passed by a minimum of 20 people sitting or lying on the street because the street is where they live. I’ve seen people sleeping, pissing, using and fornicating on the street multiple times. Life in the city’s ghetto is quite something. I am happy and grateful for experiencing the struggles in my life that I have, because I believe that no matter how wealthy I’ll be in life, those experiences will make sure I never behave like that. And if I will, I asked my boyfriend to please slap me in that moment, because if I turn into this person I want someone to slap me in my face.
