Little Green Men - Photo BTS

Here’s a look at the step-by-step process for a product shot I created for my design with Little Beast and (one of) their fresh hop releases, “Little Green Men”.

📷 The shot was pretty simple. I attached the can to a stick, angled below a single Paul C Buff Einstien strobe with a beauty dish mod facing straight over the can. Then I threw a bunch of hops in the air, snapped a few takes, and comped them in.

🖥️ Most of the work was in the compositing. Fortunately, the single (beam) light source gave everything a pretty set direction. Other than the background (stars, grassy hill) everything is just painted in. Adding highlights and shadows, blurred gradients, color grading, etc.
