Hommage à Polska Szkoła Plakatu

This term covers a constantly developing direction in poster art. This term was first used by Józef Mroszczak - one of the artists to whom my work is devoted. Although the origins of this trend date back to the 1960s, it also has its contemporary continuators. They include, among others: two artists from Szczecin: Lex Drewiński and Leszek Żebrowski. The uniqueness and role of the Polish Poster School can be seen in an article from the British daily The Guardian, where a renowned film director - Martin Scorcese - pointed to the skillful synthesis of the entire film in the Polish film poster. In order to honor the creators of the Polish Poster School, I present twelve works containing a graphic interpretation of a selected artist.
