Make Your Own Luck

Luck is a form of superstition often interpreted differently by different people. One can be "lucky" or "unlucky". Luck can be random, non-random, or influenced. I've always been intrigued by this and how every culture has its own perception of luck. I've created a few pieces exploring some of these ideas. The first is Make Your Own Luck.

Having a good luck charm is how some believe they can increase their luck. Carrying a rabbit's foot is considered to bring a person good luck. A surprising number of places worldwide believe this including Europe, China, Africa, and North and South America. However, how one obtains said lucky foot varies by region. One of the more popular takes is that it must be the left hind foot of a rabbit captured in a cemetery.

What do you think? Do you have a good luck charm?
