Daily UI #004: Calculation

This challenge was definitely a bit out of my comfort zone, and although a basic calculator was an obvious choice, it intrigued me because I hadn't done anything like it before.

My calculator idea was inspired by the feel of older Casio calculators and early Macintosh adds. I made a moodboard to blend together some ideas of what I was going for. I wanted my calculator buttons to look like actual buttons, which presented a new challenge of shading with gradients in Figma.

I imagine if I was to actually develop this, I might add key clicking noises for when the user clicks on one of the keys. 

Just for fun, I added an alternate colour scheme, following the turquoise colours from my moodboard.
