Apple TV Parallax App Icon Experiment

The new Apple TV looks super intriguing from a design perspective. One of the coolest parts of the interface are the new parallax app icons.

Apple provides a Parallax Previewer tool to conveniently preview layered app icons or layered images used for the Apple TV icons.

This is just a quick experiment using the logo from my company Vital Co.

Note. Apple Provides an App Icon Safe Zone Template for Photoshop. In their words "This template provides guidelines for positioning elements in your layered app icon." I created my assets for this icon in Sketch and re-created Apple's template in .sketch format for future use. It's an accurate replica of their PS template and is available as an attachment (Note, you will need the Sketch Beta to use the template.

Also, for those interested, I've attached my .lsr file (Apple's propriety layered file format) that you can import in to the Parallax Previewer tool to see the layer hierarchy/structure.
