What is Klu?

Klu is an AI-powered LLM app platform that lets designers rapidly prototype and ship generative AI features and experiences. With Klu, you can create advanced AI apps and chatbots in days instead of months.

Behind the scenes

Everything was designed in-browser. The header came about from a weird NextJS/CSS glitch which would replay all of the previous CSS attributes set on load. I originally intended for a very dark, black header, but experimented with many variants.

Something serendipitous happened where on page load, the browser would cycle through every single cached color combination – something like 20-30 variations. It was so interesting that I recorded my screen doing this so I could rewatch it without having to reload the code.

The repeating CSS values gave the illusion of new colors emerging and building upon each other in layers. The rich purples and blues materializing from the darker blues and blacks was mesmerizing to watch.

What I saw reminded me of the sunrise slowly illuminating the sky over the ocean in the early morning and it inspired me to find the right colors to make this happen.
