“This thematic volume introduces multisensory mixed realities in the arts for the first time in a foundational essay by the guest editor. The spectrum of the volume is expanded by investigations into specific aspects: What are the limits of virtual worlds? How can online exhibitions be curated? How are MR technologies transforming theatre stages and performance spaces? These questions are supplemented by numerous interviews with international artists, such as Tamiko Thiel, Banz & Bowinkel, or Achim Mohné, who work with mixed realities. So, let's go phygital!”
