Woodland Rhythms Festival Poster
For the last few weeks, I’ve been taking part in a 28 Day Branding Illustration Challenge run by the good folk at Inkygoodness, alongside my fellow illustrators and artists of Inkygoodness Collective.
So this is a section of my final submission, for our first brief set by Oat Studio. The task was to create an illustrated border to sit on a line-up poster, for the fictional Woodland Rhythms Outdoor Music Festival.
I don’t need any excuse to channel pop art-infused psychedelia from the late 1960s, but if you’re going to call something Woodland Rhythms, then my brain is going to immediately jump there. So the inspiration was Woodstock, hippies, flower power, peace n love and of course bongo playing frogs. I had as much fun dreaming up my ultimate lineup as I did creating the artwork. And whilst many of these artists are sadly no longer with us, if possible, I would pay a lot of money to be there.
Also, I just found out I got myself a highly commended for this one, so a big thanks to Owen and Tori of Oat Studio for the amazing brief, excellent feedback and all round positive vibes!
