English school leaving certificate

I created a leaving certificate for Nelson English Centre, an english school that i'm currently working with, helping modernize their design & web presence. I wanted to make the certificate follow a traditional aesthetic, like leaving certificates you would receive upon graduation, as well as making it fun & interesting so that the student could come home with and hang on their wall when they go home and remember the time that they spent at the school.

In particular I paid attention to the iconography of the border images, weaving in famous symbols of Nelson and New Zealand. The bottom is comprised of architectural buildings you find in Nelson, along with nature that NZ is famous for. The sides include traditional Maori iconography, which gives way to birds, cloud, and sunshine at the top.

This certificate will be given to all students graduating Nelson English Centre, along with a report of how their english has improved during their stay there.
