Canela en Polvo

Logo design for a small coffee shop in the heart of Tecate, Mexico.

The client envisioned a chill, organic logo that resonates with local residents, students, and artisans that appreciate a cozy, secluded space for work, finding inspiration, and concentration. 

I created a combination mark that features a cinnamon plant in a rustic frame. The dots are there to add some artistic flare but also to represent ground cinnamon, as the brand name means “powdered cinnamon” in Spanish. 

As for the type, the primary font is a fully hand-drawn serif, and the secondary font a casual, modern sans serif that gives the design a cozy neighborhood cafe vibe.
