GetGo Design System - Writing/Language

Design systems—otherwise known as a shared set of principles and rules to build components—are the core of any good application. They serve as a single source of truth for teams to design and develop with consistency and clarity.

As GetGo expands the team, it's easier for designs to become inconsistent and lost in translation. To curb this, I initiated the creation of a design system. Having previously helmed a communications role, I decided to start by building foundational guidelines for language and writing within the GetGo app.

These guidelines will serve as a how-to guide on writing in GetGo's voice across all the products we build. This way, our customers will only hear a consistent voice from GetGo, regardless of the writer.
