Ice Hockey logo IIHF

I'll show you one of my best projects today - the logo for Ice Hockey World Championship 2023, @iihfhockey which was supposed to be held in St. Petersburg, but it was denied 😢

According to the rules of the International Ice Hockey Federation, logo options must be limited to the shape of the main logo of the federation itself, and you can only work within it, the font layout is all the same.

The logo was based on the image used by the artist Kazimir Malevich in his painting "Athletes". An unusual approach to graphics was chosen in order to emphasize the status of St. Petersburg as the cultural capital of Russia. Kazimir Malevich, the great Russian artist, lived in Leningrad. Suprematism is one of the most influential abstract art movements of the 20th century.

I think this is a huge loss 😢 as my logo should have been the best of all time!
