What's HildeGarden?

During my recent retreat in a village house, I was inspired by the owner who harvested herbs in her own garden and crafted unique infusions, evoking the image of a mystical witch brewing potions. This sparked the idea for an app concept, designed in homage to Hildegard von Bingen, well known for her healing powers involving practical application of tinctures, herbs, and precious stones. The app combines herbal wisdom, potion-making and plant care reminders, honouring the connection between humans and the healing power of nature.

The concept

The visual concept aimed to create a mystical and feminine colour palette that evokes a sense of wonder and mystery. The use of calligraphy-based typography, mostly in headers, adds a touch of tradition and quirkiness. The visuals, featuring botanical open source drawings, transport the user to the era of late medieval botanical illustrations.
