What was the purpose of the project?

For the Ionic client, we came up with the company name - Ionic. This name fits well with both cryptocurrency and chemistry. Ion — Ionic — An ion is an atom or molecule with a net electrical charge. It aligns nicely with the blockchain principle where one part cannot exist without the other. This idea allowed us to develop a design concept based on chemical processes.
