Experimental Book Design

The French New Wave destroyed standard plot structures and traditional narrative techniques. Films of this direction were characterized by a non-linear plot, the use of a lack of strict chronology, division into episodes, and an unstable camera.

Therefore, my design uses chaotic dynamic elements and a lot of abstraction.

Many illustrations refer to the theme of self-discovery, which was often touched upon by directors in their films.

Black and white photos and noises, corresponding to the look of films of that time, and a bright chaotic red line and accents symbolize the protest of the main characters of this direction.
