Dermatology Mobile App
Hey there 👋
I'm thrilled to share with you the revamped version of a dermatology app I created last year as I embarked on my journey in the UX/UI world 😃
This app is empowered with a medical AI algorithm, enabling users to perform self-checks of their skin by simply capturing photos and providing instant results and recommendations for further action. Moreover, users can connect with their trusted doctors, track their skin conditions over time, schedule appointments, and much more!
The shots show the app's home screen, step-by-step skin analysis process, result and risk assessment display, and doctor profile.
APP REDESIGN OBJECTIVE
Designed as a mobile healthcare solution, this app caters to a diverse range of users with varying ages, physical and psychological characteristics, and attitudes. Therefore, my aim was to revamp the layout, making it user-friendly, intuitive, and visually appealing, without compromising functionality.
COLOUR PALETTE
To achieve a clean and soothing design, I opted for a white background and an indigo blue as the primary colour. This choice was deliberate, as I wanted to create a familiar experience, understanding that users might receive unfavourable analysis results in some cases. Blue not only symbolises trust and reliability but is also visible to individuals with colourblindness.
TYPOGRAPHY
For optimum legibility and a clean aesthetic, I selected the "TT norms pro" sans-serif typeface in various weights. I decided to use a font size of 16px for the body copy to ensure readability for all audiences.
